Welcome To The Coalfield Communities Federation
The Coalfield Communities Federation (CCF) was established in 1999 to integrate the activities of and play a key role in developing and realising the objectives of East Ayrshire Community Planning Partnership (CPP). The CCF receives Fairer Scotland Funding from the Scottish Government which is managed by East Ayrshire Council's Community Learning and Development.
The CCF strives to develop ways of ensuring that local communities can participate in the development of the Partnership and local projects. The CCF is pro-active in raising awareness of social inclusion initiatives and works in partnership with CPP to encourage the regeneration of local communities.
Currently the CCF is involved in a number of community initiatives through partnership working with other organisations such as:
- Southern Local Community Planning Forum - where the CCF has five representatives who meet every quarter to discuss strategies around local topics with councillors and council officials;
- Community Planning Partnership Board - the CCF as a full partner has one representative on the CPP Board;
- Barony "A" Frame Trust - the CCF has worked very closely with the Barony "A" Frame Trust from the very beginning, helping to bring about the refurbished "A" Frame and surrounding grounds;
- Ayrshire LEADER - provides matched funding to community and voluntary organisations throughout rural Ayrshire. The CCF has a representative who sits on the Ayrshire Local Action Group who distribute European funding to projects/initiatives operating within Ayrshire; and
- Community Health Partnership/Public Partnership Forum - the CCF has a representatives who sit on both bodies who look at issues relating to Health and Wellbeing in East Ayrshire.
